Kerala’s cultural diversity, perfect beaches and fabulous cuisine mixed with a pinch of Oriental mysticism have long drawn tourists from around the world. With a mix of tour packages that are on offer in the state, an ingredient to the mix, Health tourism, has been professionally planned and implemented in some of the top tourist destinations by Quality Dental Care.
Medical tourism, or more broadly, health tourism, refers to the increasing tendency among people living where medical services are either very expensive or not available to travel overseas in search of more affordable health options, often packaged with tourist attractions. Health tourism covers the whole spectrum of services that promote physical well being. They range from traditional holiday packages bundled with everything from spas to cosmetic treatments to cardiovascular surgery, and from diagnostic services to rehabilitative herbal treatments. In 2004 about 150,000 visitors to India fell into the above category.
However Dental tourism differs from the generic medical tourism model in several respects. For one the routine and cosmetic dental procedures are of comparatively shorter duration as compared to the medical ones - lasting anywhere from a few minutes to couple of hours or so per session. Some of the treatments require multiple sittings with a few days gap in between. Thirdly there is practically no convalescence period after the treatment. All the above factors help in making a dental tourism package appear as if it’s just another vacation with a few visits to the dental clinic in between.
"With the Arabian Sea in the west, the Western Ghats towering 500-2700 m in the east and networked by forty four rivers, Kerala enjoys unique geographical features that have made it one of the most sought after tourist destinations in Asia. An equable climate. A long shoreline with serene beaches. Tranquil stretches of emerald backwaters. Lush hill stations and exotic wildlife. Waterfalls. Sprawling plantations and paddy fields. Ayurvedic health holidays. Enchanting art forms. Magical festivals. Historic and cultural monuments. An exotic cuisine... All of which offer you a unique experience. And what's more, every one of these charming destinations is only a two hour drive from the other. A singular advantage no other destination offers...A hundred percent literate people. World-class health care systems. India's lowest infant mortality and highest life expectancy rates. The highest physical quality of life in India. Peaceful and pristine, Kerala is also India's cleanest State." from Keralatourism.org
"Kerala is a very easy place to simply sit back and enjoy. The name means "land of coconuts," and the palms shade nearly the entire state from the tropical sun; many call the beach at Kovalam the best in India; visitors can spend a day riding small ferries through the backwater lagoons or watching elephants cavort in the wildlife sanctuaries; the spicy food may be the best vegetarian cuisine on the planet....Kerala is a place to meander: Simply take a bus from Trivandrum or Cochin out to almost any village and spend a day wandering the dikes between the rice paddies and rubber trees, seeing how half the world still lives...It's also a place that works, and in poor, rural Asia, that alone would make Kerala a paradise. The breeze rustling the palm fronds is just a bonus."
With such a surfeit of choices and variety of destinations to choose from, an individual itinerary can be easily tailored made for you, according to your interests, so that they fit into your dental treatment schedule. By taking care of your accommodation and travel in between the treatment sessions, the overall experience is made as enjoyable, satisfying and stress free as possible.
Kerala has an extensive rail and road network crisscrossing the state and is the only state in India with three international airports. This makes getting to Kerala from any part of the world almost as easy as traversing between the scenic locales within it.

Kerala, God’s own country, has a serene natural beauty, which intoxicates and tranquilizes the traveler’s mind.
