The imposing seven storied tower (Gopuram)
makes it the most impressive landmark in the city of Thiruvananthapuram.
There are innumerable pillars, intricate carvings and mural
paintings. The temple is an excellent example of the Dravidian
style of architecture. The presiding deity is Lord Vishnu
reclining on the Serpent Anantha.The city is named after
Anantha, the 1000 headed Serpent of Hindu Mythology.

Located, 16 kms south of Thiruvananthapuram,
